Getting found on Google in Nice

Getting found on Google in Nice

When someone looks for a professional nearby, Google first shows them a map and a few addresses, then websites. Here's where to start, with no technical vocabulary.

Create your Google Business Profile

It's free, and it's often the most useful step. Fill in your address, opening hours, phone number and business type, and add photos.

Ask your customers for reviews

A happy customer will often say yes if you ask. Reply to reviews too, including the less good ones.

Say clearly where you are and what you do

Your website should say, in plain words, what you do and where: Nice, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Antibes or the whole department. There's no point in creating one page per town with the same text: Google treats them as content of no interest.

Give each page a useful title

"Home" says nothing. "Plumber in north Nice, repairs and renovation" says it all. Each page needs its own title and description.

Be consistent everywhere

The same name, the same address and the same phone number on your website, your Google profile and directories.

Be patient

Search ranking takes months. Nobody can promise you first place, and you should be wary of anyone who does.
